  • Guimbal Cabri G2

    Guimbal Cabri G2

    The Guimbal Cabri G2 is a two-seat light helicopter produced by Hélicoptères Guimbal, powered by a reciprocating engine. It was designed by Bruno Guimbal, a former Eurocopter engineer. It had its origins in the 1980s and the first demonstrator flew in 1992. Following the granting of regulatory approval, the Cabri entered commercial service in 2008. In addition to its use within the general aviation sector and as a training rotorcraft. Register: LY-CJB This particular aircraft opened the first official airshow part with some helicopter tricks. The text on the side says "Learn to fly a helicopter" -- pretty much what it was designed for, a trainer.

    LAK-17 mini FES

    The LAK-17 MINI is a new generation FAI 13.5 m class sailplane, produced by Sportine Aviacija ir Ko of Lithuania. The FES version features a Front Electric Self-launcher -- a propulsion system with a light but powerful brushless electrical motor and small and foldable propeller at the front part of fuselage. Register: D-KIBG This particular aircraft was flying some demonstration flights over the crowd.

    ANBO-II was originally designed and built by Antanas Gustaitis in 1927, as a trainer aircraft. Replica was re-created in 2012-2016 by Rolandas Kalinauskas and Arvydas Šabrinskas, and is mostly used for air shows with both constructors dressing in Lithuanian Air Force uniforms of 1920's-1930's.

    Antonov An-2

    The Antonov An-2 is a Soviet mass-produced single-engine biplane utility/agricultural aircraft designed and manufactured by the Antonov Design Bureau beginning in 1946. The model and its variants was produced up to 2001 and is still in service with military and civilian operators around the world. Register: LY-AJI This particular aircraft is the An-2T variant, produced by PLZ-Mielec in Poland, and is currently operated by Marijampolės Aeroklubas.

    Aircraft: Let L-410 Turbolet Let L-410 is a twin-engine short-range transport aircraft, manufactured by the Czech aircraft manufacturer Let Kunovice, designed in 1969 and operated as short-range airliner or cargo aircraft. As someone has noted, the front lamps on the nose make it look like it has sort of a goofy smile.

    Rotorsport Calidus AutoGyro

    Register: LY-BBA Autogyro is a sort of a helicopter-plane hybrid, with lift provided by a freely auto-rotating main rotor and forward movement provided by a powered propeller. Unlike helicopters, autogyros cannot hover, although compared to airplanes they usually need shorter take-off distance, and can fly at lower speeds without stalling.
